Urban Decay Naked Honey Eyeshadow Palette/ Review

Hello my beauty lovers!

Today we are going to be talking about this beautiful palette that you have probably already noticed from the front picture – it is Urban Decay Naked Honey eyeshadow palette.

I have been wanting to own this palette since the day it was launched. This color story is what I live for, this is the vibe that I feel all year around. You most probably already know that by now.

I absolutely love the monochromatic looks, and I love the monochromatic eyeshadow palette.

Some people look at palettes like this and think – boring! I look at it and think – there’s so many neutral, wearable daily and night time looks that I could create and absolutely love it.

This eyeshadow palette is so perfect for spring and specially fall season. Now let’s take a look at it and talk about details.

What’s in it for you

The palette has 12 golden neutral shadows including classic golds, warm ambers, and rich browns with a variety of shimmer, metallics and matte finishes. There are 6 mattes shades – Sweet, Swarm, Keeper, Hive, Drip, and Sting. One satin shade – Flyby. There are 4 shimmers – Amber, Queen, Golden, and HBIC. The last one and also very special eyeshadow color – metallic Honey.

The Naked Honey Palette includes double-ended eyeshadow brush, which I think was redesigned for a higher quality from the previous style and shape. It is very much similar design but brush definitely feels upgraded – softer and fluffier.

The Packaging

The packaging of this palette is very sturdy, it has very strong closure. There is a full-size mirror. The design of the packaging is exceeding all my expectations. To my opinion, it is so absolutely gorgeous with the 3D lid design! I think Urban Decay team put so much thought and time to really making it into the theme of the palette

The Swatches

Left to right shades – Flyby, Sweet, Swarm, Amber, Keeper, Golden, Honey, Queen, Hive, Drip, HBIC, Sting.

The Look

You guys already know that whenever I get a new eyeshadow palette I go and play with every single color in the palette. Making swatches is one thing, but how the colors perform on the eyes with a brush application – may be a complete different thing.

For this look I went for the very much classic matte crease, darker outer corner and shimmer lid. And I also added a Metallic eyeliner on the water line. I totally have been living for the 90s vibes lately.

For this look I used :

To set the lid shade Sweet

Overall Crease shade Keeper

Crease shade Hive

Lid shade Amber

Lower lid and outer corner mixture of Drip and Sting

It Is Worth It?

This is, of course, my personal opinion and based on my personal makeup and eyeshadow preferences. Just keep that in mind. I believe that you can work with any color you like and any shade and texture that you like and makes you happy. Remember back in the days, I think it was Almay brand that came out with eyeshadow quads and their ad would basically tell you that you can only use blue color quad if you have blue eyes, etc? That was long time ago and, to me, completely misleading for most of us. But back then, we would actually follow and believed that. That is not the case any more these days. You can now do whatever fits your imagination and likes. Sky is not even the limit.

Yes, this palette is very much monochrome like I mentioned earlier, however, there is a good range of shades and textures for you to be able to create variety of looks – from day to night. Wearable work / day neutral look – yes! Glam golden/ bronze smoky eyes – Yes also! You could just make one single shimmer shade all over the lid and rock it! So, yes, to answer the main question – yes to me , it is a wonderful palette with beautiful shadows and great quality, also includes the double-sides brush and full size mirror , which makes it perfect for travels and on-the-go item.

I hope you liked this post and found it helpful. Give it a thumbs up if you did and shared with someone who you think may also like it. Feel free to stay for a while and explore the pages of my blog, and do not forget to subscribe before you leave.
