November 2020 Favorites// Makeup

Hello my beautiful lovers!

It is that time of the month again when I get to share with you my makeup favorites for the month of November. Most of these items I purchased in the past several months and got to test them out. I have to say that most of them turned out quite all right.

Without any further ado, let’s take a look.

The very first item that I wanted to share with you is this eyeshadow quad from E.l.f makeup. These eyeshadow quads have been launched quite recently and received a lot of attention from many makeup lovers, and a lot of hype. I needed to find out for myself and I picked up one to try.

Cream and Sugar Bite Size Eyeshadow Quad

I have to say that the formula is very nice for a three dollar eyeshadow. As you can see for yourself on the swatches that the shimmers are very pigmented and buttery. I wasn’t very impressed with the matte eyeshadows in this particular quad – the light color was more of a setting one for the lid, and the dark brown was quite patchy upon application. I could still come up with a beautiful wearable look, however, I had to pack the dark brown color since it wouldn’t blend.

I still think that it is worth the money, also I haven’t tried the other color options, which I heard, were slightly better.

The next product that I wanted to talk about is this contouring face palette. There’re not that many things that I really can tell you about this product, but few. I’ll be straight to the point.

Wet N Wild MegaGlo Contouring Palette

The packaging is very light and plastic, which is very much expected from the price point and what this brand often curates. There was quite a lot of kick back when picking up the product with a brush from the pan. I have used this product for about a week when I saw the bottom of the pan on the bronzer.

The product is very soft and buttery, however, it blends easily. The bronzer has a warmer undertone to it, which matched my pale skin tone when I had my self tan on.

The brightening shade did not work for me due to its yellow undertone and it looks quite cake-y on skin. I believe this product is only available in this color. To my opinion, it will not be suitable for a lot of people with the light skin tones.

I have many favorites from Ulta brand products. I think, many of the products from this brand are very much underrated. I’ve mentioned this before. I am very much enjoying this matte primer from Ulta and I thought I would try this version.

To tell you the truth, I wasn’t disappointed. This primer turned out to be exactly what I thought it would be. It is that silicone type of primer that helps to make your skin smoother and minimize appearance of pores. I had mine in a delux size to add to my primer collection. And it was perfect.

Since I started talking about the brand – let’s mention the next products here as well – Ulta Wannabe Active SPF50 Setting Spray. I was so excited to try this product since it is an SPF 50 in a spray formula. I thought it would be a fantastic product for summer if it worked. Unfortunately it was pretty awful.

I didn’t have any complaints about the packaging or the sprayer. However, the product is full of alcohol and it smelled like it. After applying it on my skin it felt like I sprayed hairspray all over my face. I washed my face immediately after applying it.

In a nutshell, it was very drying, making my skin feel stiff, like plastic. Needless to say, it went back to the store.

I picked up Covergirl Trublend Undercover Concealer in shade Warm Honey. I have purchased the concealer in a Darker shade Because I love my brightening one so much. And it works really well as a contouring for daily use. I very much recommend this concealer to anybody who is looking for full coverage. This product is amazing.

As this year has been very interesting in regards of using lip colored products – I steered towards using lip liners more often since they tend to stay out a little bit better than creamy lipsticks or lip glosses. These 2 liners are from one of my favorite very affordable brands. I honestly don’t have much to say about this lip liners, except that they are just simply good. They are very affordable. They are your basic wooden pencils that need to be sharpened with a pencil sharpener. The formula is more on the dryer side and almost reminded me of a Mac pencil formula. It applies easily with a good amount of pigment, and stayed put throughout the day. I really enjoyed using these pencils as a base under the lip gloss or .on their own.

Under my Skin 06; Going Steady 09

I did not expect to love this product as much as I did. I already have repurchased it because as soon as I tried the first time I couldn’t stop using it. This product is fantastic! The formula is thin with natural finish and medium to buildable coverage.

It helps to smooth the texture and appearance of pores, making your skin looks flawless, yet skin- like. I couldn’t even feel it on my face throughout the day. This is definitely my new absolute favorite and a must in a warmer seasons.I haven’t been wowed with the product this much from the first impression for sometime. This is definitely a keeper.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Pressed Translucent Setting Powder.

I will tell you right off the bat, that this is my new favorite setting powder. The formula is just fantastic for my skin. And it is not that easy to find a powder that does not intercept in accentuate my pores in the t- zone or any texture that I have. This powder also does not look powdery. It is very silky formula. Plus, it has some skin friendly benefits – Antioxidants.
