What is your one most favorite drugstore brand that you have repurchased items from over and over and over? One of my top favorites is Physician Formula. I want to chat about the several items from this brand that I have started using in my early 20’s and still do have them in the rotation of my everyday makeup favorites. Few items that are in this post are recent launches (healthy powder and foundation, boosting serum), the other half – the absolute favorites that I have no intention of letting go. Without further ado, let’s get to them.
First, I want to talk about the products that were recent brand launches and seriously became my favorites from the first time I tried them.
Do you want to get that hydrating glow? Try the Skin Booster Vitamin Shot. I use it at night (since my skin type is combination/ oily and it would be too much hydration to add for under makeup during the day). I add this to my night time routine to add extra moisture, specially now that the weather is getting so cold and my skin gets randomly spread dry patches. This serum has soothing aloe vera, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and nourishing Vitamin E. All the good stuff. All ingredients are very gentle, there is no fragrance added, and due to aloe vera – this serum is jelly- like which feels really good on skin. I notice a good difference in how moisturized my skin feels and looks in the morning. If you are a dry skin type, you may be perfectly fine to wear it during the day.
This serum is packaged in a nice gradient color glass bottle ( the serum itself is clear in color) with a dropper inside. It is very easy to dispense and apply products onto the skin.
The Serum is fragrance- free , paraben- free, oil- free, hypoallergenic, clinically and dermatologist tested, also cruelty- free and vegan.
The Healthy Glow Foundation PSF 20 has become my favorite for few but very good solid reasons: 1) it has a good medium to full coverage (most times I don’t even have the need to apply extra layer, it makes a beautiful completion with the first application); 2) The finish is the most beautiful and natural, slightly glowy; 3) It is not fragranced which I LOVE! 4) It is very long wearing even with my oily T-zone; The other nice features are the affordable price, a glass bottle and added SPF coverage.
The Healthy Powder SPF 16 is infused with Chinese Wu-Zhu-Yu Extract and Hyaluronic Acid to brighten, hydrate, and even skin tone. I find it very long-wearing and very easily buildabl. I use semi- dense powder brush for application. It give lightweight but still medium-to-full coverage with a healthy, satin finish. My skin looks very natural and doesn’t feel dry like from many other powder foundations that I have tried before. This powder foundation has added Vitamins A, C & E which helps to provide a flawless and healthy look.

The next 2 products are bronzers and I won’t be talking too much about them because they are holly grails of many people and have been talked about by everyone for the longest time. They are both very very good. The pigmentation and the blendability and excellent. I also like the coconut scent.
The Butter Bronzer (comes in quite few shades, I use shades Bronzer or light bronzer – both work very well for me with my pale skin tone) is prefect for day wear because it is more subtle, while the Bronze Booster adds that nice healthy glow to your skin which is perfect for evening ( if you ask me, it is good for any time because I am all about THAT GLOW). The Booster comes in 2 shades – I use the light to medium.
Powder Palette comes in 3 shades – 2 of which are bronzing shades and one is translucent ( I use the latest one). This powder is very light in consistency and won’t look caky on your skin. I love that it sets my makeup and evens out overall completion making it quite flawless but still with a natural-looking finish.
The color combination in this powder has just the right amount of cool and warm tones to even out complexion and set makeup without leaving a monotone cast. It’s lightweight texture with sheer coverage delivers a natural matte finish which perfectly works with my oily / combination skin type.
It is hypoallergenic, fragrance free, oil free, also very important that it is non-comedogenic. Because who wants that?
