If you have followed my blog or social media accounts, you know I have started Keto diet several months ago and it has been going better than I expected initially. I have lost 6 lbs since the beginning and pretty happy about that. I have been in a weight plato for years even with my consistent workout routine. This is my quick update on my keto journey, however, this post is about a recipe that I like to share with you. I have posted it on IGTV awhile back and just realized I never did a blog post. Smh..
Knowing my sweet toothy self, I wouldn’t go to any diet if I couldn’t have some desert that would fit into the plan. After a bit of research and experimenting, I ended up making this super delicious chream cheese fat bombs. They are very easy to make. Read the recipe below. And Enjoy!
Items you will need:
Spoon / small ice cream scoop
Small/ medium mixing bowl
Mixer (fork will work as well )
Plate/ tray
Parchment paper (optional)
Ingredients you will need:
4 oz. cream cheese
1 or 2 tbsp coconut oil
1tbsp sweetener of you choice
1 tbsp unsweetened coco powder
Step 1. Combine cream cheese and coconut oil . Mix well till the whole mixture is smooth and homogenous. Mix in the sweetener. Mix in unsweetened coco powder.
Step 2. Using a spoon of a small ice cream scoop make small balls. Layer them out on the plate/ tray. You may want to use parchment paper to layer the bottom of the plate/ tray. Use up the whole mixture to make the fat bombs.
Step 3. Optional. You may choose to add topping of you choice on top of the fat bombs. (Ex. I used the unsweetened coco powder mixed with almond milk to make chocolate sauce and poured it over for an extra chocolate touch).
Step 4. Place the plate in the fridge for 15-30 minutes to cool down.
Step 5. The dessert is ready to be served. Enjoy!
I want to add the SIZE NOTE here, I chose not to include any calorie count here because the diets are different for everyone. My Keto calorie budget is different for another persons calorie budget. This recipe fits into the plan by ingredients. I am sure if you follow the diet plan, you may use an app or some other source to track your daily calorie and nutrient / macro intake. The ingredients of this recepe are very simple, easy to find in any grocery store and chances are you already have all of them in your fridge.
