Hello my beauty lovers!
In this very strange time that we are experiencing right now, I hope you are taking all the precautions and doing your best to take care of yourself and your families. We’ll get through it!
I wanted to come up here to cheer you up and give a little bit of distraction, and chat about the things that personalty put me in a better mood and I hope you too. That is – talk about some of my new favorite makeup products that I have been loving and reaching for a ton in this past month.
Surprisingly, I have found a lot of new great products and some became favorites. Some items from the list below are the ones that I owned before, but somehow forgot I had them. Now that I have more time on my hands these days, I did a bit of reorganization of my makeup collection and stumbled upon things that I realized I haven’t given much love in awhile.
Okay, let me tell you about my March favorites.
As you guys know, I have very pale skin tone and it is very difficult for me to find a contouring/ bronzing cream product that doesn’t show up with red undertone. Needless to say, that every time I get to try next cream product, I have zero expectation for it to even work for me. This next cream contour had very good reviews by many and I decided to try it for myself.
I have to say this cream contour is not only great by quality but also the tone works very well for my pale skin. The packaging is pretty too, if this part matters to you. The lid untwists and there’s a protective cap covering the cream itself which is great for travels and product drying from too much air coming in. The application works well with brush and blends easily with beauty blender. I haven’t stopped using this cream since first time I tried it. It now holds the permanent spot in my daily makeup bag.

For most part of the year, in order for my makeup to stay intact throughout the day, due to the nature of my oily combination skin, I prep my skin with pore filling/ smoothing and often mattifying primers. One of my favorites, and the one that I have been reaching out for a ton this past month is Makeup Revolution Pore Blur Primer. This product helps reduce and minimize the appearance of pores. Apply it to the face after moisturizing / SPF and before foundation. It also contains a Vitamin E that helps nourish skin.
Going to a warmer season, I have been very much in the mood to switch to the warmer and lighter tones of the eyeshadows. The 2 palettes that I have used interchangeably in the past month (and most probably will stay for some time for me to use daily for the next few months) are Huda Obsessions light eyeshadow palette and Colourpop Truly Madly Deeply. They are on the different price ranges. Both palettes are great. Huda formula is more firmly pressed but it is consistent and pigmented, also very easy to apply with minimum to no fall out. Read full post here.
The ColourPop palette has a softer eyeshadow formula, blends in seconds with brushes or you may use your finger also for a super quick 1 minute – out -of-the -door- I – have – no -time application. Full post here.
I also wanted to mention the product that not new to the market. It has been around for some time, but I always felt sceptic about it because of the word ” dew” in its name. I have always tried to avoid any topical products that refer to any additional added hydration due to my skin type.
Generally speaking, I love the glowy skin finish, and thought I’d give this product a fair shot.
Too Faced Tutti Frutti Dew You Fresh Translucent Setting Powder is a loose setting powder, just like the name states. On Ulta website, it is available in 2 shades. The Translucent one that I have, has a iridescent pink undertone. I have tested this powder a good amount of time to give you my honest feedback.

It calls itself ” setting powder, which for people with dryer skin types may work wonders to use it all over your face. For my type it doesn’t work that much (which I, of course tried, and even thought it looks absolutely gorgeous upon initial application, it gets too dewy after an hour or 2). However, I applied it as if it was a highlighter and let me tell you … it is so beautiful. It gives life back to the matte skin and creates this beautiful subtle “glow from within” look.
The Packaging is very nice – twist -off lid, then protective cap and soft net that lets you sift back the powder down. This is my favorite type of loose powder packaging. I really wish all brands would switch to it.
I have to share with you the lip gloss formula that I didn’t think I would love that much. A lot of times, when I see 5 star reviews on some lip glosses and get to try them, my opinion doesn’t match. I love wearing lip glosses for night outs year round and I switch for lighter glossy formulas for the warm seasons to wear in their own.

Now, I thought to have to try new product in a set of most voted shades was a great idea, specially when the products are so highly rated. They weren’t kidding with their excitement! These lip glosses are amazing! Such a light non-sticky formula, shear pigment. They look great on their own on bare lips or as a lipstick toppers. My favorites shades of all 3 included are Apricot Dream and Natural.
Next one that I want to mention is lash primer. Its rubbery brush helps to separate lashes and coat them in the priming substance. It doesn’t clump up and definitely helps to add volume to lashes even when using lengthening mascaras. I noticed that mascaras that typically would smudge around eyes throughout the day , do not smudge if used together with this primer.
Last but not least, the product that was kind of rediscovered from my own stash – Tarte Amazonian Clay 12 Hour Blush in the shade Captivating. This is a matte formula containing very famous amazonian clay in it that helps to absorb oil from skin and hold product and its pigment in place, so it lasts all day. Who wouldn’t want that? The color of this blush is very flattering and goes with a lot of different looks – from warm to cool. Another part that I also really like about this product is that there is no fall out. It is very firmly pressed, however, it is quite pigmented. Super easy to use and build up the color to the intensity that you wish.
What are your recent makeup favorites?. What are the makeup products that you rediscovered from your own collection?
I hope you like this post and found it helpful. Give it a thumb up if you did, feel free to share it with someone who you think may like. Stay for awhile to explore the blog page and make sure to subscribe before you leave to be notified of future uploads.
