December 2020 Favorites and Fails / Makeup Edition

Hello my beauty lovers !

Today’s post is the final one for this year of 2020. I can’t believe my own words. Cray cray. Nevertheless, the year is coming to an end and the month is coming to an end. And it is time for me to share with you what I have been loving this past month and what I didn’t that much.

I have done some damage $$ around Black Friday and you may have watched my YouTube videos. If you haven’t missed them, they will be linked for you here in this post that way you can catch up.

Some things that I picked up this months are newer to the beauty world and some have been around for some time but are new to my makeup collection. If you have tried any of these products, do share your thoughts in the comments below.

I have gotten quite a lot of favorites this month. So let’s begin.

You guys already know that one of my most favorite categories of makeup is complexion products. In December I have tried several new ones and I have fallen in love. The first one is the foundation by Milani.

This foundation was launched earlier this year. I know that people either hated it or loved it. I personally loved it. It is a very nice thin formula. It gives very natural medium to buildable coverage. I apply mine with a damp sponge. This foundation wears so well on my combination oily skin and doesn’t settle in my fine smile lines, which is quite often an issue for me with complexion products.

This foundation is not scented and I love that it has a pump in the packaging. The bottle itself is glass with a plastic cup that firmly sits on the bottle and doesn’t fall off. So far I have been loving it and have used it a ton since I bought it which was several weeks ago.

The next complexion product in line is the Ordinary Coverage foundation. This is another foundation that surprised me. I did not even know that the Ordinary brand made makeup. I was only aware of their skin care products. Which I have used and loved, and continue loving and using at the moment.

The packaging is plastic with a pump, that turns left and right to open or close the bottle. To dispense the foundation you need to turn the nozzle to one side and press on it. This foundation has a very light texture and natural/light luminous finish. It is very thin liquidy consistency that goes on nice and smooth on skin. I have done a GRWM video in my Youtube channel where you can see this product in action.

I like how this foundation goes on skin, and also how it wears. Needless to say, this became one of my most favorite Natural “Skin – like finish” foundations that works very well for my skin type.

The next in line are these retractable eye pencils that I have fallen in love in also. I only have a one thing to say really – these pencils are amazing! They do not budge they are very creamy and go on very pigmented and smooth on the eye. I have been recently loving colorful eyeliners and these were a perfect match to what I was looking for. These are a great quality and the price could not be better. This liner is metallic but does not have glitter and doesn’t feel scratchy on delicate skin of eyes. Also these eyeliners do not transfer on your upper lid throughout the day, they only come off when you remove them with a make up remover or face wash. If you guys follow me on IG or subscribed to my YT, you’d see that I talked about them several time and showed the swatches.

I have recently been loving using only lip liners to outline and fill my lips to wear under the masks. I believe that this technique helps the color to stay without smudging or being completely wiped off while we all have to wear masks. These lip liners are old fashioned wooden pencils that need to be sharpened with a pencil sharpener.cI really like how creamy and smooth they go on the lips without tagging the delicate lip skin. These are definitely new favorite.

Moving on to my next favorite category. You may already guess or know what it may be. I have tried many different eyeshadow palettes in the past month due to the holiday sales and deals everywhere. I definitely took advantage of that. If you follow me on social media you would know that I did an unboxing of all the palettes In IG stories. But I have to highlight my absolute favorite palette that I recently have tried and tested. It is a Juvia’s Place Nubian 3 The Coral Eyeshadow Palette. The link to the entire YouTube video is here for you to watch if you’d like to see the Palette in action. Also here’s the link to the full blog post about this pilot.

Another products in the complexion category and also one of my favorite things to use ( also a type of products that I wear everyday and do not leave the house without wearing it either I wear makeup or not) – is highlighter. I have recently shopped at brand’s website and I have purchased few items. Before I only owned one complexion item from this brand. And I have to say that the purchases that I’ve made were amazing and an absolute hit and the new favorites for me. I have a full unboxing video, click here to watch full video. Another absolute favorite and a beauty must have. This highlighter is out of this world.

Another complexion product that I want to give honors to be mentioned in today’s post – the Ordinary Serum foundation. I found that for my combination oily skin it is a bit too dewy. I could not make this product to stay on my face for longer than half an hour. Without an exaggeration, I really couldn’t make this product work for me, for my skin type specifically. However, I have to say it is not a bad product. On the opposite, for someone with dryer skin type or even normal skin may actually love this product.

I hope you like this post and found this helpful. Give it a thumbs up if you did and share with with someone who you think may also like it. Feel free to stay for a while exploring the pages of my blog, and don’t forget to subscribe before you leave.

Olori 3 Eyeshadow Palette by Juivia’s Place

Hello my beauty lovers! In today’s post I’m talking about the small but very cute little 6 pan eyeshadow palette Olori 3 by Juvia’s place. I have quite few eyeshadow palettes from the brand and nicely familiar with the formula. What really drew me in was the color story- the neutral row with very unexpected…
