Fall makeup 2019 + product reviews //Fall Inspiration

Fall has been in a full force in the past several weeks. Even with some rainy days here and there, I still live for this time of the year. With so many Holliday makeup launches in the past several months and the fall nature, of course, I have been very inspired by creating some fall makeup looks. I have really been enjoying some of the new products and some of the good old favorites that I will share in this post.

These are some of my Inspos that put me in the cozy and colorful mood for this time of the season. Rustic orangy -red- brown colors, coffee drinks, cosy socks, sweaters and warm blankets, and for me “everything Pumpkin till Christmas”. Are you with me on that? What are your inspirations? Leave yours in the comments, I’d like to know.

My Fall Inspirations

Covering the Bases.

My skin decided to surprise me and threw few curve balls at me yesterday, and by that I mean I have several breakouts in different areas of my face that are a size of The Mountain Everest. This is the reason why I decided to reach for the big guns for this makeup look and used TooFaced base products.

Too Faced HangoverRx Replenishing Face Primer. This primer is one of my top favorites to use, specially when my skin needs extra moisture and there are breakouts. It is very moisturizing, gentle on the skin and also smoothing which is perfect to use under makeup. This product is quite new to my collection but already has become one of my top favorites.

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation is medium to buildable full coverage (which was enough, to my opinion, to cover my existing blemishes). My skin tone is fair/light with neutral undertone, and I use the shade Porcelain. I applied one full pump of it cover my whole face. This product is not fragranced which I love.

Too Faced Born This Way Multi-Use Sculpting Concealer in shade Swan. One of my favorite concealers. This product is called multi-use for a reason – It can be used as a concealer, countour shade, and highlight. There are 35 shades available on Ulta website to chose from. I only currently have one shade which I use to conceal/ highlight my under eye area.

The Powders.

Once the base is done, it is time to set it and add some color to it.

Milani Bronzing Powder. This powder is available in 3 shades on Ulta website. I use the shade 01 Sun Light. I love this bronzer. It is matte with a neutral cool tone ( which is quite difficult for me to find to be a neutral undertone skin type). There is minimal to no fallout and the price is right too. Like, let’s be honest, no one really wants to pay arm and a leg for makeup. Out of all my bronzers, I have been reaching for this one a ton since the time I got it.

Essence Brighten Up! Banana Powder.

First of all, why no-one really talks about this brand ?? It is probably one of the most affordable brands that is available and the products that I have tried so far are so good. Like this banana powder. It has been my go-to since the first time I tried it (several months ago) I use it to set the eye area and T -zone. It is brightening and it keeps the makeup set all day without creasing.

Too Faced Fruit Cocktail Blush Duo.

Shade Apricot in the Act. Even though this blush duo is scented (and you already know that I am not a fan of scented products in general), it is so pigmented and the color is so beautiful! The scent almost becomes irrelevant to me.

The Fun Part.

I used the BH Cosmetics Ultimate Matte palette for this look. There are 42 shades and they are all beautiful mattes. All the colors are very pigmented and easy to blend. There is a small amount of fallout, which for me is not a deal breaker. When I do a full eye look, I always do it before I finish the rest of the face.

There are no shade names on this palette. So check out the indicators on the image for the colors that I used. As I am writing this post , the palette is currently on sale on BH Cosmetics website.

I also dipped into the Too Faced Gingerbread Extra Spicy palette for the 2 shimmer shades (Cookie cutter and Drizzle it ) to finish the look and make it very monochromatic. This is my feel for this season this year.

The Finishing Touches.

To set the makeup I used the products below.

Mac Prep+Prime Fix+Cucumber. Prep+ Prime has been a staple for me for many years, but I have recently tried the cucumber scent, and I have to say I actually enjoy this product. The scent is very subtle and smells very fresh. I also think that it is a bit more dewy than the original.

The Essence Lash Princess Mascara. I recently picked this mascara up and from pretty much the first impression can say the following – It adds length, lash separation and is quite easy to use on lower lashes as well as top ones. My lower lashes are very thin and unimpressive, so that’s how I judge If any mascara works for me or not. Also, if it leaves marks on upper or lower lids, which this one hasn’t. So, it’s a” GO” from me.
